| When was the last time you
spent a couple of hours in the morning working
out your abs and cheeks (face cheeks, not butt
cheeks)...by laughing? When was the last time
you and one of your best friends giggled so hard
for so long your cheeks hurt for the rest of the
day? If it has been longer than a week since you
have experienced such a fun start to your day
then you need to get on the ball....the bowling
ball that is! The Little Rock Spouses Club
Bowling League meets every Wednesday morning at
the bowling alley on base and pretty much all we
do for two hours is talk and laugh. Sure we take
turns throwing a ball at ten pins standing like
soldiers at the end of the lane and try to knock
them all down, but no one cares if you don't. I
usually get more strikes during the five minute
warm up session before the actual scored bowling
begins than I do during the whole three games we
play. Probably because I am not even trying and
I could care less how many pins I hit, it is
only practice after all. Once the "real" games
begin I over think it, I am laughing and goofing
around and I end up trying too hard which
results in one gutter duster after another and
peals of laughter from myself and my two
teammates. Our team is aptly named, "The
UnderHundreds" for a reason!!
Seriously though, drop your kids off at
school, come bowl with us then hit the
commissary for a weekly shop (like most of us
do). I can guarantee Wednesday will become your
favorite day of the week. No one likes Mondays,
Tuesday you will find yourself looking forward
to Wednesday because you get to meet, eat and
hangout with friends (Oh! and bowl) then you
will spend Thursday and Friday thanking yourself
for the great boost in your spirits and the easy
ab workout. Grab a friend and join our LRSC
bowling league together, or if you are new in
town come on down and make some new friends in a
matter of minutes. If you don't want the long
term commitment from Sept.-May we are always
looking for fun folks to be subs every once in a
while.
Please arrive at 9:15am. We
begin bowling promptly at 9:30am. If you're
late, you have to pay a buck!
