The LRSC Thrift Shop will be OPEN on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 9am – 2pm. The store is packed full of great inventory so be sure to stop by and check out our new location at 864 Thomas Avenue.
Consignments will be accepted beginning Tuesday, May 13, 2014.
We can’t thank our volunteers, managers, donors, consignors enough for their patience and understanding during this transition period. You have all been amazing and we could not have had this much success without you!
The LRSC scholarship application process has now closed! If you submitted an application, please look for an answer regarding your application by May 5th. Scholarship banquet for the winners will be held on May 9th at 6:00pm at the LRAFB housing office. Thank you to all who applied.
Our March event is coming up! On March 20th, we are hosting a fundraiser at Outback Steakhouse in North Little Rock. This is open to not only our members, but anyone in the area who would like to have a meal out and support the LRSC. Details are shown on the flyer.
As of today, Monday, March 10, 2014 the LRSC Thrift Shop is CLOSED until further notice. The reason for this closure is as follows; the current construction project in the building has required the removal of the fire alarm and fire suppression systems in the building. Myself and other Board Members are working closely with the HGL Construction project manager and the base Fire Department to decide when it is safe to return to normal operations in the building.
We continue to thank you all for your patience and understanding during this time. The LRSC Board members and the LRSC Thrift Shop Advisory Council have the best interest of everyone involved at heart.
The managers will be in the old consignment area this week during normal operation hours finishing up the sorting of donations in that area. They could use any volunteer assistance that is available as the construction crew will be starting a project in that area next week which requires all of our stuff to be moved out of that area.
